The Emergency Department Director is responsible for the overall operation and direction of patient care in the Emergency Care setting.
Consults with staff, physicians, Chief Nursing Officer and Chief Operating Officer on nursing problems and interpretation of hospital policies to ensure patient needs are met.
Maintains performance improvement activities within the department and participates in CQI activities;
Assists in formulating budget.Responsible for staff education and development.

Must be a RN.
Bachelor`s degree, Master`s preferred; BLS, ACLS, and PALS required.
3+ years of Director level experience with demonstrated strong leadership skills.
Looking for experienced directors with great track records of building a solid department

Position reports to the CNO.
There is 6-8 ED Rooms.
There is 10-12 FTE`s in the department.
In 2016, there was 11,485 visits.
This position the Director will have to be willing to be a working director and step in and handle shifts when needed.
Great opportunity for someone that wants to make a difference in a small community and strengthen an ED Department.

Compensation is based on experience but the range is 71K-107K yearly. The position does have a potential bonus and offers full benefits and relocation.
